Skyroot's new deal opens up new avenues for India's private space market
Hyderabad-based private space company Skyroot Aerospace has signed a significant multi-launch agreement with Thiruvananthapuram-based space-tech startup HEX20.
Under this agreement, three dedicated launches will be conducted using Skyroot’s Vikram series launch vehicles for missions involving Earth observation and payload demonstration.
These missions are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027.
A multi-launch agreement involves pre-planning the launch of multiple satellites over a set timeframe.
Such agreements are considered crucial for private space companies, as they provide better planning and clarity regarding launch capacity, costs, and mission timelines.
The agreement between Skyroot and HEX20 was finalized on August 6, 2026.
It was signed by Naga Bharath Daka, Co-founder and COO of Skyroot Aerospace, and M.B. Arvind, Co-founder and COO of HEX20.
