Explanations:
The article 61 of the Indian Constitution mentions about the impeachment of the President. The Process of Impeachment–The impeachment resolution may be initiated in either House of the Parliament. It must be supported by one fourth members of that house in which the resolution has been initiated and an advance 14 days prior notice should be given to the President. When the resolution is passed by a majority of 2/3 membership of house, then its transferred to next house. The other house shall investigate the charge and the President has right to appear in such investigation. If the second house also passes the resolution with 2/3rd majority then the President has to resign and from that time the post of President is deemed to be vacant.
