• On October 6, the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2025 began in Guwahati, with India defeating Nepal 45-18, 45-17.

• The championship returns to India after a 17-year hiatus and will run until October 19.
• The first stage of the tournament will feature 36 teams competing for the Suhandinata Cup in the mixed team event.
• The second stage will include individual championships for the I-Level Cup.
• India has been placed in Group H alongside the UAE, Sri Lanka, and Nepal in the new relay-scoring format.

• In the new format, each set will be played as a race to 45 points under a best-of-three system.
• Players from top badminton nations, including China, Japan, Indonesia, and Denmark, have arrived in Guwahati.
