8th International Solar Alliance (ISA) Summit

• India will host the 8th International Solar Alliance (ISA) Summit from October 27th to 30th.

• The event will be held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
• It will bring together global partners to strengthen cooperation in solar energy.
• It aims to promote the use of solar energy for a clean and sustainable future.
• Minister of New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi said that participants will work together towards the shared goal of affordable solar energy for all.

• India has already achieved 50 percent of its total installed power capacity from non-fossil fuel sources.
• This milestone was achieved five years ahead of schedule.
• India is the world's third-largest solar energy producer. It is also the second-largest market for renewable energy development.
