Mirabai Chanu

  • Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the women's 48 kg category at the World Championships in Førde, Norway.
  • She lifted a total of 199 kg, including 84 kg in the snatch and 115 kg in the clean and jerk.


  • With this, she finished second overall.
  • This was Chanu's first World Championships since 2022.
  • It was also her second competition after the Paris 2024 Olympics.
