Explanations:
Intensity of irrigation– The intensity of irrigation is defined as the percentage of the culturable command area proposed to be irrigated annually. • The area irrigated during each crop season (Rabi or Kharif) is expressed is a percentage of the culturable commanded area, which represents the intensity of irrigation for the crop season. • Yearly intensity of irrigation may be obtained by adding the intensities of irrigation for all the crop seasons. Exp.– If intensity of irrigation for Rabi is 50% and that of Kharif is 60% then yearly intensity of irrigation will be 110%.
