निर्देश (प्रश्न संख्या 118 से 142 तक) : निम्नलिखित अपठित गद्यांशों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढि़ए और दिए गए प्रश्नों के सही विकल्प चुनकर उत्तर-पत्रक में चिह्नित कीजिए। विश्व में हर व्यक्ति सुख चाहता है, लेकिन इसकी प्राप्ति का मंत्र वह नहीं जानता। भौतिक सुखों को ही सच्चा सुख मानने की भूल वह करता चला आ रहा है। संसार में प्रत्येक संबंध के साथ संयोग-वियोग जुड़ा हुआ है, दिन के साथ रात, सुख के साथ दु:ख, लाभ के साथ हानि, मान के साथ अपमान जुड़ा हुआ है। यदि कोई विषय ऐसा है, जिसके साथ कुछ भी नहीं जुड़ा हुआ है, तो वह है आनंद। यह अन्त:करण का विषय है, पराश्रित नहीं है। संवेदनशील व्यक्ति ही आनंद की अनुभूति कर सकता है। सुखी होने के लिए दूसरों को सुखी देखकर सुख का अनुभव करना व दु:खियों को देखकर करुणा से द्रवित होना आवश्यक है। संवेदनशून्य व्यक्ति कभी सुखी नहीं हो सकते। जो कर्म को कर्तव्य समझकर निष्ठापूर्वक करते हैं, वे ही आनंद की अनुभूति कर सकते हैं। सच्चा सुख आसक्ति के त्याग में है, कर्म के त्यागने में नहीं। कर्म से प्राप्त होने वाले फल के प्रति आसक्ति त्यागने पर ही व्यक्ति सुखी जीवन व्यतीत कर सकता है। मनुष्य किसे सच्चा सुख मानने की भूल करता रहता है?
