Vice Admiral Sanjay Sadhu

• Vice Admiral Sanjay Sadhu, AVSM, NM, has been appointed Controller of Warship Production and Acquisition with effect from 28 November 2025.
• He succeeds Vice Admiral Rajaram Swaminathan, AVSM, NM, who retired on 30 November 2025 after 38 years of distinguished service to the nation.
• He was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1987 and holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies.
• His career spanning over 38 years includes key operational, staff, and yard appointments.
• He has served on the aircraft carrier INS Viraat and the frontline warships INS Brahmaputra and INS Dunagiri.
• Prior to his promotion to Flag Officer, he held positions such as Additional General Manager at Naval Dockyard Mumbai and Principal Director of Marine Engineering at Naval Headquarters.
